The Genesis

So its official , we have started the movement the line is coming at you in full effect.
Its been crazy hectic hence the lack of updates on the blog. Thank you all with the most love and respect for supporting us since day 1, when we can all help each other achieve our dreams and goals that is a beautiful thing.

Hope the website was worth the wait for everyone. Our web designer Matt has done an exceptional job making things run and work well, as well as the superfantastic duo of Jaso-fun and Ill in Illustrator Zac.

We sincerly hope the line will be a success for us and for those who are part of the movement and like our brand, its gonna be alot of work , continued sleepless nights, crazy missions and ups and downs till we can really get this thing flying but i truly believe this is meant to happen and will happen.

We are definetly not gonna stop or sleep on the good movement.

Updates

It has been quite a while since the last post. The goodboy team has been really busy getting ready for the Spring 07 launch. To summarize what has happened

Dec 11th we Officialy became a registered Ontario Business
it feels nice to be a legitimate business entity. Something I've personally wanted to accomplish and say I've embarked on since I was younger. However this is just the beginning of a frikken crazy and amazing journey for this company.

Its been interesting watching and understanding how other institutions and business people treat 3 young entrepenaurs who don't have much money. The skepticism, the not taken seriously attitude, it seems for banks and what not to take you seriously your name/brand/identity must include a digit and multiple zero's after it, or else you have no value, unless its fiscal value.

Sad but true reality. They may not take us seriously now...but one day they will try and open doors for us, do we want that naw we can open our own doors thats how we're gonna get where we wanna go.

Society is a funny thing mentalities and individuals are so diverse and such a broad range of spectrums... yet certain norms" and stereo types, and ignorant mentalities still exist. Are we moving forward with our conciousness or are we all still just barely living...?

WHATS BEEN GOIN ON

so alot of you may be asking whats been happening with goodboy
questions may arise such as:

the site isn't up? whats up with that?
where is all the fresh new gear?
etc etc

And I assure you there is a reasonably good if not realistic explanation
other then we're trying to keep you guys and girls on your toes.

As a company that just started out this summer of 2006 this is our first venture into the world of owning and operating a business. It's not an easy world I tell you.
We have been snagged by obstacles and forks in the road as well as just life itself and other priorities are pushing there weight. However not to make excuses... we are still 100x2x infinity Percent dedicated to making this Line happen and making it a success and we are just slowing our paces to a level where we feel we can build a strong foundation and platform to grow.

By all means these obstacles are nothing but obstacles that are impedeing our progress but at the same time pushing us to go even further then we ever thought possible.

The reality of it is .... it will be a struggle this is no easy game to do something with the most righetous of intents and at the same time try and make it into a lucrative and viable business entity.

so i was gonna start my biology and epidemiology assignments but i'm procrastinating like i always do and started designing a background for my PSP and i figured i could share it with everyone.

it's basically a wrecknoble/random/goodboy collabo wallpaper, and i made a few variations just for kicks.

just click the thumbnail to view the full-size image and then throw it in the Photos folder of your psp and browse to it, press Triangle and set it as your wallpaper.

i know its not music, but its something so enjoy (and trust me these look nice on the bright psp screen, your monitor wont do it justice).

basically theres a couple of things i wanna say

first of all, congrats to everyone involved in Goodboy Clothing and the Good Movement on a successful launch. i wish i coulda came to the party but i was stuck in Waterloo with no ride, but i'm happy to hear all the stories and see all the dope pics from the night. lots of demand for all things Goodboy in Waterloo according to all the people i talk to, i know that much. Sanga, we major right now and u kno it.

secondly, i just wanted to talk about my site for a second, RANDOM. i don't know how many of yall have had a chance to go there and grab some music from me and get my opinion on both old and new tracks from all genres. but basically about a month ago the server i was hostin the joints on kicked me off without warning. so i dont know, i've put the site on hiatus for now until i figure something else out. i'm thinkin of using ODEO to let people stream off my site but you cant get that mp3 downloaded unless you know how to get a hold of me.

anyways, that being said i wanted to break off a couple of new tracks to all the Goodboy followers that frequent this site. i need an audience yall, haha.

HELP RECYCLE

some of you may already know we here at goodboy are on the good tip and are promoting recycling. We package our shirts in waterbottles which we collect ourselves, and from various friends and family. Cleaned , repackaged goods. So this is a call out to all our friends and supporters out there who drink lots of bottled water...save your bottles and hook us up with them...we will need about 400 bottles for the xmass season so all the help will be welcome.

Hey All!

Just felt I'd share today's experiences as they were surpassing good and went into the realms of fantastic. By the way this is my first post here so to introduce myself my name is Mike and I'm a supporter of the charity Leave Out Violence (LOVE). I don't support this charity in the average way however. We actually run positive Hip Hop events in High Schools and at York University to promote LOVE's anti-violence message.

Anyways on to my day...

IT WAS CRAZY GOOD!!!

We were signing up new members for our LOVE @ York Student Club (because it's frosh week) and luckily we got a spot to perform to "wow" all the newbies... and it worked!!! Wowed they were! But seriously we had an AMAZING show with bboys, poppers, beatboxers, a violin/popping act and so much more. It turned out to be 45 minutes and the MC was none other then yours truely, Mikey aka BBoy Piecez.

So basically today me and Mike (the crazyiest dopest web/cgi/computer animator guy dood person) where going to upload the Eflyer for the launch party on the website.
We go to check out the site and low and behold what do we see...

now that made me think...WTF?...so I email tech support

and this is a quote from the email I had gotten from tech support

wow...we're not even a huge company yet and we got hit by hackers...well not only us but everyone else on the same servers but still makes u feel kinda like the big boys.
It makes me wonder the integrity of the system we live in, so much information , and information is ultimately power. Money isn't the real power

money just gives u resources and access to information with in turn gives you power. Even money itself is information when you think about it...credit cards, bank accounts, etc... its all virtual money.

Even in terms of the media those that can control and manipulate information...they have power.
makes you think of the bush re-election....CNN and FOX are huge information media hubs announcing victory to Bush early....
just a tangent of an example of information as power-->control.

still..bottom line...our site got hacked...sounds pretty cool.
